Commissioning A Painting

Over the years, I've done a wide variety of different pieces commissioned by a variety of different customers.  These projects have included children's book illustration, custom mandala paintings, abstract work, window painting, statue painting, custom floor mats, portraiture, drawings, and large-scale mural work, among much more.  Here are some steps to follow if you would like to commission a custom piece of your own:

  • Have in mind the basics of what you want- size, color, content, level of detail, etc., as well as any deadline you may have. 
  • Email [email protected] or call (269)823-2324 with all of this info, and I will get back to you within one or two business days with a quote. 
  • Once all of these details are agreed upon, I will need a down payment of 50% in order to get started.
  • During the process of making your work, I am happy to send you weekly updates and make minor adjustments as needed.  Any major adjustments that require a significant amount of extra work will cost extra, as will be reflected in your final bill. 
  • If you have a definite budget that cannot be exceeded, please let me know at the start of this process.  I am always willing to work with customers on adjusting projects to fit within a limited budget, within reason. 
  • I am happy to meet potential customers in my studio for a consultation.  If you would like me to come to you, a $50 consultation fee will be applied to customers within a 10-mile radius of my studio.  This fee will increase according to distance. 
  • If you would like preliminary sketches before the painting process, a fee of $40/hour will be applied.
