The Weight of the World

This series explores the ways in which the weight of the world weaves itself into our daily lives.  Sometimes there is great beauty in darkness.  Sometimes event the beauty feels heavy.

Below are the paintings on display at the Westin Gallery in Kalamazoo, along with two sculptural pieces: a fabric and crochet piece called "Shroud" and a concrete and crochet piece called "When Things Just Aren't As Fun As They Used To Be."
